Some Web Cam has features like enhancing the  caputuring quality, some has its built in led for lighting purposes. Also there are types of Web Cam that has its own microphone,which is handy when using a Video conversation in internet.

What is a PRINTER

PRINTER - It is a device that accepts text and graphic outputs from a computer and transfer the information and details into a paper.
                           - There are various kinds of printer and defers to the kinds,sizes,speed,sophistication,and cost. In short the more the printer is expensive the higher resolution it can make..


Mechanism    -  Personal  computer printers can be distinguished as impact or non-impactprinters. Early impact printers worked something like an automatic typewriter, with a key striking an inked impression on paper for each printed charater. The dot-matrix printer was a popular low-cost personal computer printer. It's an impact printer that strikes the paper a line at a time. The best-known non-impact printers are the inkjet printer, of which several makes of low-cost color printers are an example, and the laser printer. The inkjet sprays ink from an ink cartridge at very close range to the paper as it rolls by. The laser printer uses a laser beam reflected from a mirror to attract ink (called toner ) to selected paper areas as a sheet rolls over a drum.

The four printer qualities of most interest to most users are:

• Color: Color is important for users who need to print pages for presentations or maps and other pages where color is part of the information. Color printers can also be set to print only in black-and-white. Color printers are more expensive to operate since they use two ink cartridges (one color and one black ink) that need to be replaced after a certain number of pages. Users who don't have a specific need for color and who print a lot of pages will find a black-and-white printer cheaper to operate.
• Resolution: Printer resolution (the sharpness of text and images on paper) is usually measured in dots per inch (dpi). Most inexpensive printers provide sufficient resolution for most purposes at 600 dpi.
• Speed: If you do much printing, the speed of the printer becomes important. Inexpensive printers print only about 3 to 6 sheets per minute. Color printing is slower. More expensive printers are much faster.
• Memory: Most printers come with a small amount of memory (for example, one megabyte ) that can be expanded by the user. Having more than the minimum amount of memory is helpful and faster when printing out pages with large images or tables with lines around them (which the printer treats as a large image).

What is a PSP?

PSP   stands for Playstation Portable is a cool gaming gadget that brings you a different kind of gaming, as its name suggests, the PSP or Playstation Portable is a smaller, lighter version of Sony Playstation. Its  not as  powerful as the PS2 or PS3, but is more powerful that the original Playstation (PS1), and it  has a built in  screen and speakers so you dont  have to plug  it in  to anything to use it.

 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is an action-adventure platform video game played from a third person perspective, with the player in control of Nathan Drake. Drake will have a large number of different animation sets, enabling him to react according to his surroundings. Drake is physically adept and is able to jump, sprint, climb, swim, scale narrow ledges, wall-faces to get between points, and perform other acrobatic actions.
 

A great game for PS3 Lovers - GOD OF WAR 3

God of war 3 -  is an action-adventure video game released by Sony Computer Entertainment's Santa Monica division for the Playstation 3 in March 2010.

Gameplay:  Gameplay is  similar to previous installments. The player controls the character, Kratos, in a combination of first-person/third-person combat (including quick-time), platforming and puzzle game elements. Kratos' main weapons are the Blades of Exile (initially the Blades of Athena), with other new weapons, including the Claws of Hades, the Nemean Cestus and the Nemesis Whip. The Nemean Cestus (a pair of fist gauntlets), and the Nemesis Whip are crucial to the game, as they are required to advance through certain stages of the game.

The basic parts of a desktop computer

The basic parts of a desktop computer are,


a. Computer Case - The computer case is the metal and plastic box that contains the main components of the computer. It houses the motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), the power supply, and more. It must be well ventilated to avoid the risk of overheating and damage.

b. Monitor - The monitor works with a video card, located inside the computer case, to display images and text on the screen. Newer monitors usually have LCD (liquid crystal display) or LED (light-emitting diode) displays. These can be made very thin, and they are often called flat panel displays. Older monitors use CRT (cathode ray tube) displays. CRT monitors are much bigger and heavier, and they take up more desk space.

c. keyboard - The keyboard is one of the primary ways we communicate with the computer and enter data. There are many different types of computer keyboards such as wired, wireless, ergonomic, multimedia, and more. Although there may be differences in the location of some keys or features, keyboards are very similar and allow you to accomplish basically the same tasks.

d. Mouse -       The mouse is a peripheral that is known as a pointing device. It lets you point to                objects on the screen, click on them, and movethem.

There are two main types of mice: optical and mechanical. Theoptical mouse uses an electronic eye to detect movement and is easier to clean. The mechanical mouse uses a rolling ball to detect movement. Generally, a mechanical mouse is cheaper, although it may require regular cleaning to keep it working properly. Traditionally, a mouse connects to the computer using a USB orPS/2 connection. However, you can also buy a wireless mouse, which can reduce clutter on your desktop.

Do not think of a computer merely as the machine with the keyboard and the mouse, although that might be true for some types of computers. Embedded computers may be inside your household appliances, the VCR, the automobile, planes, trains, powerplants, water purification plants, calculators, and even inside a few toys. These embedded computers are very small. They affect our lives each day. Why, even modern traffic lights operate with computers. They are all around us. Think of additional ways in which computers affect our lives each day.
